metal... Dude, metallica will outlast jet anyday...nirvana is already fading. What does that say to you?
EDIT FROM THE WIFE: It depends on what mood I'm in. Sometimes I need to hear rock and sometimes I need to hear metal. If I'm angry or need to get energized (such as to clean the house, etc.) I pick metal. If I'm just chilling or feel like listening to something hard but not HARD, then I pick rock. Generally I pick rock. I don't really listen to any other type of music on a day to day basis. Sometimes I'll be in the mood to hear Slayer, Pantera, etc. but usually it's just regular rock music, like AC/DC and GnR, stuff like that.

Metal is my favorite genre, but I like a variety.
