well it will be very close, i know that the r undefeated (10-0) in all but they don't really play anyone tough in the WAC besides Boise State they r ranked 13th right now and when the new polls come out i would think they would move up to 12th or 11th with the Oregon, and Oklahoma losses.
its really unclear right now... there r too many things that could happen, but Hawaii needs to beat Boise State next week to make their case.
next weeks games -
Hawaii(13) vs Boise st(17)
games that can put Hawaii into the BCS picture -
Arizona st(9) vs USC (11)
West Virginia(5) vs Conn.(25)
Virginia tech(10) vs Virginia(16)
Missouri(6) vs Kansas(4)

only if they can beat Boise State, which I highly doubt. Boise State has been getting better all season and are on a big roll and Hawaii has looked unimpressive in wins against bad teams. If they beat Boise State they most definately should, and probably will, go to a BCS bowl.

I comprehend what each and every person is announcing with reference to the BCS rules and how that they had could bypass to a bowl pastime, yet i myself think of Boise State's success inspired them getting put in the SUGAR Bowl. there have been a lot of alternative bowls they might (and could!!!) have long gone to. As a community Georgian & huge Bulldawgs fan, i'm outraged at BCS (and all the media) grossly overestimating Hawaii and putting them interior the Sugar Bowl with us this nighttime. Georgia is fairly the desirable group interior the rustic (this nighttime proved that), could be enjoying for the Championship & this nighttime became an entire comedian tale. I hate that my UGA group did not get to play a good bowl pastime. This became pitiful. devoid of the success of Boise State final 365 days, i think of this would not have exceeded off and optimistically it won't next 365 days. EDIT: once you have 3 thumbs down & thinking approximately it a splash greater, I unquestionably opt for to enhance the undeniable fact that I placed all the blame for this matmatch on BCS, not Hawaii. I comprehend they did not do something incorrect to lead them to get in over their heads this nighttime. If something, they did a large pastime getting this a procedures, winning all their video games and each thing. and that i'm happy with them for that (heavily). Hawaii unquestionably deserved a bowl pastime...merely not the Sugar Bowl (extraordinarily vs. UGA). yet I do blame BCS lots for putting them and us in this Sugar Bowl difficulty, it wasn't hassle-free or equivalent in any way from the get-bypass. the two communities deserved to have greater equivalent warring parties and be greater desirable matched of their bowl video games. and that's a shame to me. i'm sorry if I offended everybody. The adrenaline merely gets going & winning the Sugar Bowl (even no remember if that's to an overmatched opponent) continues to be *very* exciting!

Teams like Hawaii make me sick. They think they should go to a BCS game just because they are undeafeted. Well, anyone could go undefeated if they played all mediocre teams. Look, you played Nevada, a top 75 team, and won by 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hawaii is pathetic. I would rank them at 33 or so in the rankings.

Probably. Although they better be glad that so many BCS schools are losing. That way their close games aren't hurting them as much. A more interesting question is will Boise State sneak back in to go for one.

If they do get a BCS game, what does this say to all the teams that actually have a real schedule? why should anyone play a tough schedule if all you have to do to get a BCS berth is schedule teams that any decent team could beat? This is like offering amnesty to illegal aliens, it just begs more people to do the same thing.

Why not? They should probably play Kansas in the "We had a weak schedule and that's why we are undefeated" Bowl.
