If you want to live a happy life then do what you want, don't let other people dictate your life and always learn from your mistake.

If you aren't happy now then try to think why you aren't happy, if its something transient like a breakup, death in the family or maybe just a crappy day then thats something you can't do much about it.

However if you never feel happy then you might be suffering from depression which is a chemical, imbalance in your brain which causes this condition. If thats the case then you might want to see a doctor about it as there are drugs to help you with that.

There are a couple of books by a doctor named Martin Seligman, particularly one called "Learned Optimism" that you might find helpful. Also, exercise helps, about 30-45 minutes each day of walking would help a lot, but you have to do it for three weeks.

Eat well, get plenty of exercise. If you're still feeling unhappy, see your doctor - you might be suffering from a chemical imbalance in the brain and you might need medicine if you're unhappy.
