Kate McCann does a u-turn. Why do you think she has done this?

She now refuses to take a lie test - although has previously said she would take one.

Something to hide, the tests are 99.9% fact, They say they can`t understand all the bad press then release this statement like this.I`ve had my doubts about them all along abd kept an open mind but they are slowley losing credability in my eyes.

Presumably she has had legal advice on that and I would be pretty surprised if she hadn't. Her lawyer would have told her that results of lie-detector tests are not admissible in English courts because they cannot be relied upon.... (people have managed to trick lie-detectors in the past). Lie detectors tell the truth, but a truth that is based on the signs the human body gives when lying. If you can fake those, you can trick the machine. --- My problem with her U-turn is this: she knows that that evidence cannot be used in court.... so WHY is she refusing to take the test ? --- Because she is lying... and refusing the lie detector is the very same thing that she has done already up to now i.e. refusing to answer those 40 questions posed by the investigators PJ-GNR.
(--- the CBS in the USA are right.... this is a "very tragic but a very compelling case" --- )

She won't take one because she would never pass the test. Clarence has probably told her not to do it.

It is about time this charade is over and these two and their accomplices are brought to book. It is a sad and sorry state when you have idiots on here who are seemingly sucking up to the McCanns and to all effects, are endorsing child neglect.

As i said before, look at your own children and grandchildren then look at the bigger pictures. Do you want justice for this little girl or do you want a child killer to walk away scot free?

If you endorse the parents, then in my book you have no morals at all.

Possibly because sometimes those tests are wrong, so even if she was telling the truth it may say she is lying and it's a 50/50 chance either way.

For goodness sake get a grip, If this was an official lie detector test taken by the police or other official body then I would be suspicious at her refusal but it's not and it is far to serious a subject to resort to the type of thing that's done on the Jeremy Kyle show. Do we really want trial by media to creep into the justice system? I think not.

In the Jonbenet Ramsy's case in the US, the mother got cancer and died, and took her secret to the grave....couldn't hold onto it any more. These two cases are very similar.
Now the father continues to collect mucho dollars from the media, telling the same lies, 'til he dies too.
