So here is how it goes...recently, when I use my computer, at random times it completely freezes on me. Can't move a single thing and everything (dsl box, mouse, keyboard) seems like it not connected to the CPU. Also, sometimes when I try to turn it on, the fan runs really fast and the computer doesn't respond. Even if I hold down the turn off button, it doesn't work. I usually have to unplug it, but after I replug it, it takes me hours just to turn it on again, and the computer not responding problem repeats. Anyone have any idea what virus this is or what problem it is if it isn't a virus? Also, I recently got it after I downloaded Mozilla Firefox. After I downloaded it, I went to the usual websites before the problems came. Anyone wanna help?
P.S. Sry for long message!! THX!!

ok this problem is gonna be painstaking to solve w/o a on board lcd screen error code monitor on the mobo. ok what u do is: unplug everything from the mobo(excpet processor, ram, fans, and of course power) and keep ur mouse and keyboard plugged in but nothing else. turn it on and see what happens. if everything turns on and u hear 1 beep, then u know that the motherboard is fine. next put in the video card and plug it into the monitor. if u see a black screen and then a bunch of writing in white text(called the BIOS) then the video card is working. now plug in the hard drive, cd drive, floppy drive (and w/e else external drives u have.) turn the computer on and your operating system should start loading. if it doesnt, uve got a hard drive problem. if it does load then run a disk check.(now connect everything back in.)load ur operating system again and run a antivirus scan. if that doesnt work ull have to uninstall mozilla firefox. if none if this works then u should try a program called PC Mechanic(it always works for mine.) sorry for long this is and if its confusing lol .peace.

comparable concern with bullguard - and that i attempted to reboot enormous mistake - it won't reboot or provide me a fix decision - everyone understand the thank you to get the gadget to repair to a prior think approximately time earlier the replace on start up? that is a hoax that merely forces the anti virus to quarantine fairly plenty each and every report in case you go away the pc working. regardless of you do no longer close down your pc, I did and now it is completey screwed till i can fix it to a prior think approximately time from this morning. can't belive bullguard and bitdefender are hit by potential of this. Kapersky seems to be ok because it is what's working on the lap authentic i'm utilising now. ok replace - I have been given returned in utilising gadget fix yet alot of the classes have issues - inclusive of the reality that there is not any sound. I even have asked bullguard to pay for an engineer to return and variety my pc out as i do no longer likely prefer to sit down down right here installation and uninstalling classes. Their shopper help exchange into no longer useful and appeared grumpy when I instructed them what i presumed. i'm going to take it up with them interior the destiny.

This seems DoS atack via the plug-in feature of Firefox. This has been quite common recently.

Try to boot your machine with system recovery disc. Then, backup data and reformat your harddisc.

If you got time, you may update your anti-virus and do a full scanning instead of reformat your harddisc. anyway, plug-in attack was a yesterday issue; latest anti-virus should be able to clean it.

I think you have a hardware problem a virus (or Firefox) cannot do what you are describing

Either the motherboard is failing or a device connected to the motherboard is - your PC is not passing the POST (power on self test) and booting

first back up the data you wish to keep

ow you need to make a recovery/ format, return you system to its original state etc

the format will remove any Virus and data on your system

insert the recovery disks you received with your system
