This is in Michigan He charges 8 cent more per gallon if you use your credit card....so if the price is 310 for cash than for credit cards it would be 318...Is that legal?

I believe it is legal. It's not charging someone more for using a credit card, it's giving someone a cash discount. Businesses get charged .25 - .75 each time someone purchases something with a credit card.

Legal, and grasshop is right. Most people do not realize that every time you use your plastic to pay, that the merchant pays a fee along with your interest rate. These card companies are raking it in from all directions!

It's not illegal. However, it is technically a violation of both Visa and Master Card's policies. However, enforcement of these policies is left to the individual banks issuing the cards, most of which do not really care.
