blood sucking butterfly?

i'm trying to find the name of a butterfly i saw on animal planet's the most extreme. i think its from spain and its the only butterfly that actually sucks blood (dead blood). i think it looks like this, http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a224/lita2016/top_pic1.jpg
i dont remember but i'm trying to find the name of the butterfly and another picture of it because this is the only one i found

I saw that too it is the Spanish something or other.

They were wrong however. I see occasionally butterflies of many types feeding on carcasses. I is merely that no one thought to mention it to scientists. Their is also a moth in the Amazon that sips blood. However, it sips blood on live animals by feeding sort of like a mosquito. That too I do not know the name of because it did not have a common name at the time I heard of it, and scientific names are hard to remember. However a search revealed it was Calyptra thalictri. I can not find the spanish one but it had a common name such as meadow butterfly or something.

But just for fun, google that term (enter as "madrilenial butterfly") and just see how little comes up.

There's also the vampire moth of south asia which has been seen to suck blood from live animals, although its tough proboscus was designed to pierce the tough skin of some fruits.

uh, on! It's a total myth that is way to Sci-fi to be realistic. The only things that suck blood are stupid mosquitoes and bugs! Don't be afraid of them, cause there not real.
