It's not sensitivity only, it's savvy and skills.

Soup cans never needed sensitivity, for example, they needed Andy Warhol's uncanny artistic ability of reproducing objects fairly accurately and and then mechanically transferring the style, first by hand and eventually by more sophisticated means, moving on to humans like Marilyn Monroe and Marlon Brando etc.

If you mean can I be a scupluptor or a painter, NO I doubt that. My artistic talents to me are in composition and making objects from existing objects--I repair/rebuild speaker systems and build simply household furniture like shelves and cabinets. I also know where to find graphic elements and fonts for flyers, cars and calendars which even on computers is an artistic endeavor if done well.

I'm not going to be Bob Ross painting fluffy little clouds though : )

No, I have the sensitivity. "Perception" might be a better word. An artist sees things that the concrete thinker does not. I wanted to clarify this because many people might think "sensitivity" would relate to feminine gentleness or political correctness.

I do however desire money. Money which cannot be had by the artist.

It is even hard to get decent compensation for accurate portrait drawings today. Digital cameras reign supreme.

Frankly, the "artistic sensitivity" is a myth. Artists are no more sensitive than the rest of us. They are just good at a particular craft in the same way as some people are good at stripping down an engine or cooking a gourmet meal.
This is not to say that I am putting down artists - but I used to be married to one and he took all my money and left me penniless, then swanned of with another lady. In the course of our relationship I met and mingled with many artists and they were much the same as anybody else in the behavioural sense. But then I tend to define sensitivity as the way you behave towards and treat other people.

No. I'm overly sensitive... does that make me an artist? I did study art for a couple of years.... but wasn't that good at it.
