I have this show tomorrow, and the dress i'm wearing is extremely plain. Its A-Line, with a V-Neck, it's powder blue and its just.. sooo plain. It sorta looks like what'd you wear to a paino recital. i need to know what i can wear with it, my shoes are champagne coloured heels, accessories so far are a blue and white bracelet and a blue necklace. also, will black look good with powder blue??

Thanks! you guys are awesome. I tried the dress with black heels, a black bolero and a black flower pin in my hair, with silver accessories and i have to say, it looks amazing. Tons better than i expected it to, because i never really thought black would go with powder blue. Thanks again! You've all really helped.

it sounds like you have a lot of subtle colors, and I would probably wear a sparkly necklace instead of a necklace that matches the dress. too much matchy matchy stuff can look like you are trying too hard. since your dress is simple, don't wear elaborate jewelry. also, it seems weird that with the mild colors you would want to go with a harsher black or white. simple stuff can look more elegant, so go with the style of the dress and don't try to counteract its simplicity!

Yes, black looks good with powder blue. But, if you're wearing champagne heels, chocolate brown will look better. Champagne has warm tones to it and so does chocolate brown. It's best to stick to the same palette tones (black is a cool tone).

If your show is a formal event, you can dress up your look with a delicate chain belt in gold or a skinny gold metallic belt. If you want to wear black, change your shoes to black patent leather heels and wear silver jewelry. Your bracelet and necklace sound cute, but if you want to make more of a statement with your accessories, it would be better if you don't match the color of your dress to your jewelry. A silk scarf with bold blocks of color (powder blue included) tied around your neck would be cute too!

Don't have much time to find accessories? An easy fix is to wear gold jewelry instead of your blue ones. Gold studs, a gold drop necklace, and simple gold bangles or a cocktail ring with a champagne-colored stone would work really well.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

if u r wearing only plain blue dress. no matter what designs u choose for accessories like necklace, bracelet etc. u try to wear all accessories white may be pearl or white stones which r shining. also cherry red with black combination will work well. but i feel white pearl will be excellent with blue.

hmm.. i wouldnt suggest wearing blue accessories with a blue dress. the idea is to not match but to complement! black sounds great to me. red is a very good choice. no greens

Black's not a good choice against powder blue. You might want to add some nice earrings to your ensemble.

yes, it will but based from what you already have as your accessories, it might not be of any use. my advice, try using a white belt and wrap it around your waist. i think it'd look awesome
