I haven't traveled in the Middle East only Europe and North America and I would have to say that the most anti-gay places I've been are in the USA. There are many regional differences in the US, though, the whole country is not the same. Surprisingly, while the South and Midwest are less gay tolerant in general, it is easier to meet guys in those regions than on the coasts (and they're better looking in my opinion).

The most tolerant places I've been are London, Amsterdam, Paris, Montreal, Vancouver, Seattle, and Portland.

And by the way, gay people do not want to be worshipped, we just don't want to be harassed or physically assaulted. I don't think that's too much to ask. And please, not all gay people are effeminate......the purse suggestion is way out of order.

I think here in the US most people are anti gay, I know a lot of gay people and most are in the closet, or say they are Bi, my niece is a lesbian, she has had the same partner for 18 years, the own a house together, they are married in m eyes, but the rest of the family call them roommates, and I am the only family member that treats them like a couple. It is the strangest thing, and the family get mad at me when I include my niece's partner in family get to gathers, and dinners, they know the truth, they can't be that dense, but they refuse to acknowledge them.
