Just wondering what some of you do, when legitimate questions are deleted by some person who probably doesnt understand english.

Nothing anymore - I wrote a couple of WTF e-mails and got back "bot" responses that told me I could appeal and "thank you for your feedback we are always blah blah blah."

I did make my Q&A private because I think I attracted some trolls. I was having the most mundane answers violated, some from a week back. I think someone was going back through my answers and violating eveything they could.

Making the Q&A private helped somewhat.

So what you are saying is that you think there is a form of censorship in Yahoo Answers. If this is so, the answer to your question will most probably be in the found in the rules for using Yahoo Answers. Most places have rules as a condition of entry or use. EG. If you are living at home with your parents, you live with their rules, if you travel on a train you do so under the train companies rules. If you enter a bank there might be a sign showing you must not enter wearing a motorbike helmet - this is one of the banks rules. If you are not happy with the rules you move out of your parents place, find another mode of travel & you don't go into the bank. It doesn't matter what you do there will always be rules to live under. So if you are not happy with Yahoo Answers rules - move on to another site.

Respond with the email link in the message and contest the deletion. This also hurts the standing of the person who filed a false violation report.

A legitimate question is one that you actually need an answer to. This question "isnt it amazing and ironic that Lieberman happens to be the chairman of our homeland security department?" is clearly a statement of opinion thinly veiled as a question. It is not a legitimate question by the standards of this site.

I was replying to a question about Ron Paul, by the time I hit review button, the question was already deleted.

I have tried appealing it but to no avail. I just delete the email now. Just a waste of time. They do not even read them unless you know someone that works there.

First click the tab appealing it... then because they only email you back if you bombard them with about 100 of those, go to the forum button in the upper righthand corner of this screen and click on appealing violations. Plead your case there.
