If you have Google Earth installed on your computer, there is a measurement tool that allows you to find the distance by drawing a line from point A to point B. Since this is what I would have to do to answer your question, I'll leave it to you.

TX is huge and NY is large. So for example, Texarkana is closer to Binghamton, than say Houston is from Rochester.
