I predict them to make the playoffs this year and play the Detroit Red Wings in the finals. How would you react if they won the Stanley Cup?

Yes, but only because I am a displaced northerner living in Atlanta for a job and I would like to see playoff hockey without having to fly home. Otherwise I would be very schadenfreude to see them miss the playoffs or lose in the first round again.
Atlanta does not deserve a hockey team. I have already met several people who have lived in Atlanta for 10+ years and did not even realize that they had an NHL team here.
Move the team somewhere that ice forms naturally, but not until I get a new job north of the Mason-Dixon line! :)

atlanta is a one dimensional team they will ont make it to the cup detriot is not a playoff team they finish high every year and choke they are at least 8 better team in the east than the thrashers i dont even think they will make the playoffs
im guna guess that u live in atlanta or near it and you probly know almost nothing about hockey and cant name more than 7 players on the thrashers you guys shouldnt even have a team hockey would be a much better sport if the teams just stayed in big hockey markets like canada and US cities that actually like hockey like minnesota who has sold out every game in their history i dont think the thrashers have sold out one

Oh, im sorry, last time i checked, they played football in Atlanta, not Hockey.
And next time you think the thrashers are going to make the finals, think again, they will not even come CLOSE, they are a two man team, and you cant have a team that only has two players.

Eason, why are you in the hockey section if you dont like hockey. I dont wander around the hip hop section (if there is one) and you know why??? Because I dont like hip hop!!!!
I dont care if they make it or not. Their in the eastern conference, theyre not a threat to the sharks unless they both make it to the finals.
I will be happy if the Sharks make it

the thrashers are a poor team. so they cant afford decent players on the ice. so that is why they wont make it to the playoffs. response to other answer: You cant just go around saying u.s teams suck. There are alot of canadian teams that suck. and there poor. Like the ottawa senators and the calgary flames.
