Normal is to have a bowel movement after each meal, so if you are eating often that's great.

If it's a normal stool, not diarhea then you have no worries at all and should be happy that your colon is cleaned out everyday.

It is a tad on the high side. Usually people have bowel movements 3 times a day to 3 times a week.

Here is a link to some bowel movement faqs.

Up to 3 a day is considered "normal", 5 is a bit much. In the absence of other symptoms start by looking at your diet to see if maybe you can pinpoint a cause there. If you keep having 5 bowel movements a day you may want to consult your doctor.

It may be normal for you but the average person has them a lot less frequently. One or two and day sometimes one every other day is common. You may wish to speak with a health care provider about this. It could be any number of causes. Pregnancy, diabetes and kidney disease come to mind immediately. Attached is a link that state the average is between 3 a day to 3 a week.

Good Luck

Its perfectly normal, especially if you always had such a pattern or at least has constipation rarely, for instance. Watch out for other symptoms such as bloody or loose stools or too much fatigue or lower tummy pain, or cramps or colour changes, shape changes.. which then persists. If you don't have any of the above, then there's probably nothing serious going on. Its in fact a good sign.

I have spoken to a Gastroenterolgist about this subject...he claims if you eat often, and have a good healthy fiber rich diet, it is absolutely fine to go 4, 5 times a day, as long as they are solid,
smooth movements...its actually healthy!!

If this is the dog asking, then I think 2 or 3 would be normal maybe. If you are a human asking, then definitely 1 or 2 is normal. Any more than that and maybe it is something you are eating.....or not eating. I would consult a nutritionist or your doctor.

No, most people don't go that much. You should see a dr just incase, but that is healthy for you as well, just a lot of times is the sign of something else.
