Do you believe that the male and female brain are scientifically different?

I believe that men and women have the same reactions to their brain. Some people think differently.They say male have the left side of their brain only and only that part is usually functionally. The left side of their brain only allows them to analytically but female can use both the left and right side of their brains. So they can think analytically and emotionally. Is their any scientific proof for this?

I personally believe that men and female think and react different because of society. Society expects men and women to act so differently. The two gender, in most cultures, differ in almost everything. Expectations on men not showing emotional feeling have caused men to appear as not being able to think emotionally.And that showing emotional feelings are feminine.

So what do you think... or know? is it society or nature?

The brains 'work' diffrently, but scientifically they aren't diffrent. Men and women just have diffrent attributes mentally. BUT, the attributes were more suited in caveman days. Now they are not particularly helpful, because they put emotional space between the genders... they aren't practical, they are political.

In my own opinion, I think men are less emotionally linked than women. Besides, having a Y chromosome (which is basically --and forgive the term--- a retarded X) has to do horrible things to you genetically! Y is an anomaly...its incomplete, unlike our female double XX... We can give life and support life. Our sex organs aren't on the outside of our body. We are intellectuals and can mill over everything with heart AND mind... whereas guys are generally all mind.

It has to be rough to be male in life, being that emotionally messaed up....

I think that it's part of both it's been scientifically proven that men and women think differently partly because of the hormonal differences and some of the social differences. Men are made differently than woman for a reason and not just sexually. For year it was the man who provided most of the shelter and the safety for the woman and the children. There for he had to think more aggressively than a woman, he had to think of all the things that would prove to be a threat to them and make sure that they were prevented from hurting the family. So men to this day think in the terms of getting things done so that the family is protected as was his role for millions of years, you can't change that in just a few hundred years of societal change. If that long. Women are geared to taking care of the family and making sure that their emotional needs were met so that they were capable of forming the next generation. So women for the most part still think in emotions and in taking care of people on that level and men on what it will take to provide physically for them. Men are able to use both sides of their brains also as you see as more of them interact with their children and more of them have custody of their children. As society moves to the middle more men and women will also move to the middle in their thinking but you will never get men and women to completely think the same way, IF you did than it would end up being a really boring world.

This is rubbish - lesbians are not remotely likely to kill anybody. Most female killers are heterosexual. The only sexually motivated female serial killer was Elisabeth Bathory and she was sexually aroused by torturing women but otherwise no. Straight women kill their children in rage or mental illness, general inadequacy or inability to cope. They kill husbands for revenge, anger, fear or money. Very few women kill anyone else. Aileen Wuornos did and she was a lesbian but she was seriously disturbed and it was this that made her kill not her lesbianism.
