drop...
drop...
drop.
is how it began

rain falls hard in Iowa
on a cold November morn

the morning turned even colder

and the rain kept falling down
suddenly the woods were filled
with a new, mysterious sound.,

outside i went, into the woods
seeking what i had heard
the rain had turned to sleet
ice water

pummelting everything in its way...
tree branches that used to stretch and seek the sun
snap and crash the earth below
as the heavy load of freezing ice water
is too much too bear

the rapid whisperings of sleet through the trees in this storm
suddenly are gone...
as a messenger in white
the snow
begins to fall
and dance in the air
in its journey to the ground

when you drop something heavy it just drops, since water is heavy it drops, when snow falls it floats, turns to right and left jumps up and down, kisses another flakes and so on, try this drop some water and a snow flake( if u can) see which goes down first, u r fooling us dude.

Actually we should say that snow flakes. LOL. I mean if we say rain drops because rain is in drops shouldn't we say that snow flakes because snow is in flakes?

snow is quiet
rain makes noise

"dropping" has a connotation of noisiness, like if you drop a glass (it dropped TO the floor)
falling is more peaceful, unless someone falls (the leaf fell FROM the sky)
