You just scroll down the page, look the the left and you'll see "Show", with a little drop box where you can select "USA questions only".

Then you can avoid the sometimes confusing problem of seeing questions from millions of other people around the world which don't relate to the USA. This is important in sections like Politics & Government, Business/Tax, etc, where the systems and issues are not always related to the USA. It doesn't matter in most other universal sections of YA, though.

People don't like being told to use their own country's YA, or that their questions are irrelevant to the USA, because it's essentially a global site and even when we are using our own country's YA you can still see our questions unless you select "USA questions only".

And in Australia, the Liberal party are the conservative ones like your Republicans - so it is very odd when you answer our Elections questions.

Have a nice day :)

BTW, I go to www.yahoo.com.au (the Australian site http://au.answers.yahoo.com) and can select "Australian questions only" from the drop down box to filter out the rest of the English questions.

Actually I prefer to see all the questions in English, whether USA or any other country. If I can't answer, I just move on. By having the limit of contacts, I get notified by email of at least 150 or more questions a day.

WOOOOOHOOOOO
well written miss schlonky EXCEPT for one thing ...

you should have finished with " WOULD YOU LIKE FRIES WITH THAT ?"

:D

plus you know what really pi$$eS me off .. you clearly state IN THE QUESTION that it pertains to AU (or where-ever) .. which leaves the option open to the person answering .....

IF the question ISN'T relevant to them or they don't have an opinion ( I say that as I have been know to answer american questions AND get best answer BTW) on the matter ... THEN they should take the option of NOT ANSWERING .. oh look I know .. It's a damn radical way of thinking .. but you know IT CAN BE DONE....

Well said. If I could, I would give you a standing ovation at the moment. I love to get responses from different people from different countries. However, I am sick of smart a*se people giving rude answers that it is not about their country.

You are righy - Answers is international. If you don't want to answer the question because it has nothing to do with your country - don't answer it!!

For the record, I don't want fries with that - but I will have chips!! :)

I think Big Raymond may have a breakdown...

EDITED to say: I tried goin to that site, Ms Schlonky, it takes me back to the Yahoo7 site. Might have something to do with my orginal registration? Hmmmmmm, too late to figure it out tonight!

And I agree with Johnny Cee, I like to see all the questions, too!

~*~*~*~

Hmmmm, we can't choose 'Australia Only'! I don't have the option to do that in the drop down menu?

Personally, if I can figure out the US and UK questions (and the Irish, Canadian, Thai, Chinese, German and so on ... )what's so hard about this?

Why is it even an issue? Surely if US users don't like our Q&As, they can just avoid them?

Cheers :-)
