they call reggae rap dancehall. thats its name in Jamaica. and they call them DJ's. serouisly. DJ's is the name for Jamaican rappers.
it comes from the 70's when the DJ at the party would start to shout lyrics over the original tune and the name DJ has stuck to this day in Jamaica.
theres thousands of them man. Shaggy has a unique sound but i think Chaka Demus sounds a bit like him.
some other DJ's i like are Gereral Trees, Tiger, Yellowman, Buju Banton, Elephantman, Mr Vegas, Sasha, Spice, Apache Idian, Munga. vybez Kartel. Bounty Killer, Busy Signal. Pinches, Sean Paul Super Cat, Daddy Freddy. but really i like hundreds of them.
