Yes, I was raped when I was just a kid... 15...
Time just made it not as bad... it's still there though.

I was like that when I realized my marriage was failing and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't fix it. I fought it for years and the mental toll started to affect my physical health. I have moved on and man what a difference there is now. I am happy and feel like a myself again. I am no longer exhausted and have more energy. My heart is still healing but that will be better in time too.

Yeah
I used to get really bad nightmares about my dad, and my family, and for a while it was terrifying to even look at anyone I was related to, let alone sleep through more dreams.
I figured out that it was just a phase, and although I still have them rarely, I know they're not true, and they don't freak me out that much anymore. The thing is that you just have to plow through the situation, becuase before you know it, the worst is over.

The 6 months before and the 6 months after my divorce. I took things slow, tried not to make major decisions, concentrated on my kids well being and time did the rest.

Yes. You slowly begin to realize that life goes on and dealing with such pain will only make you stronger and ready to truly appreciate the good that will come later.

When my brother-in-law died I had a hard time doing anything, especially function.
How did I deal with it? I had a great support system and took every day one day at a time....

It was pretty rough when my great grandmother died. She was a full N. Carolina Cherokee and my sister and I loved her very much.
