how to convince a mom belly rings are not sleezy?

I just decided i want a belly button ring, im 13 and my moms only reason for not letting me get one is that the yare sleezy, i dress very average, not sleezy, how do i show her not all of the ma re sleezy?

stop calling me a ho or any of the things you are calling me because that just shows how dumb people get on here to critisize others, im not looking to be made fun of just ANSWERS, im joining a swim team fyi and i hear they are very cute, and i am also for encouragement to get in better shape (not that im fat)

i just got my ears pierced in a 2nd spot, if not a belly one wat else not a nose,lip,tounge, or brow those are hideous, belly jewelry is actually the most conservative one i found, cute to have for swimming but when you want to you can just cover it up, im not going to dress sleezy just show it only when swimmin.

I wanted to get my eyebrow pierced. My mom wouldn't have that, but she said I could get my belly button pierced because I can hide the piercing very easily.

Well at your age I would not try, but at 16 if you've thought it through and asked a lot of questions from other people who've had them for like 5-6 years and still want it then I would say that would be a better time to discuss it with mom. If I could share one other reason for not getting one at 13 it would be your body is changing and quickly at that and you probably would not want to to that before your body has taken a more permanent shape, things like piercings can get bigger when your body changes and you wouldn't want it to stretch out the whole etc. think about little girls who got their ears pierced when they were infants. Just a thought.

Belly rings have been out of style for about 5 years now. Actually...I don't see many teens with piercings @ all these days. I think labret piercings are still kinda cool...& some people can still get away with eyebrow piercings. I'd wait until you're 16 or 17 though. Get a part time job so you can pay for it yourself, so your mom can't say anything about it.

They are not sleezy, but you are only 13. You have alot of time ahead of you to poke your body with all that stuff! Your mom will nver be convinced otherwise. Anyway, why do you want one? To be "cool"? Believe me, getting a piercing does not make you "cool", doesnt make you more attractive, and doesnt get you a new personality. Cut your mom some slack, trust her judgment on this one.

I'm a hip mom, and I wouldn't let my daughter get one. Appearance is important...whether it should be or not, people are judged by things like that. If I see a young girl with a belly ring I assume that her parents don't supervise her very well and that she is a little sleazy. There is nothing more attractive than a girl who is trendy...and classy at the same time. Belly rings don't fit that category. Good for your mom for knowing what's best for you. She doesn't want people thinking that you are not a nice girl.

Belly rings aren't even cool anymore. They were like 2 years ago but since belly shirts are soooo out so are the piercings. I can't believe people are still getting them...!

If the guys are saying it, then it's true. It is EXTREMELY sleazy, but only because you want it at your age. Why do you want it so bad at 13? Do you know there are child predators out there that would do anything to take advantage of you if they see that? Is that what you want? Plus, don't BS the whole world that you don't dress sleazy, because the only reason people get piercings like that is to show it off somehow.

you will never do that one, mom seems to be showing good sense in saying NO. at 13 years of age you need a belly ring like you need your own car. belly rings are for ADULTS. kids need love,respect, and guidance. ask for a PS3 , you,ll be more likely to get that

They arent sleezy but at 13 you shouldnt be showing off your stomach or you might be called or known as sleezy...Wait at least 3 more years..
