I was wondering if you know of any good free online chat websites where people can just chat with others their own age, a teen chat website preferably since I am a teenager.

Thanks for all those people who keep on repeating that there are inescapable pervs in the world DUH!! I have SOME bit of common sense! I am just wondering if you have a suggestion for a safer chatting website, not on the amount of perverts in the world and the notability of their existence!

Be very careful when going on chatting sites. To be completely honest, I think it's a bad idea. It's very easy for someone to lie about their age, even if the site says its for teens, there could be a lot of older people on there. I can't recommend a specific site to you, but I want to warn you to be very cautious about what information you give out. Make sure you are keeping your eyes open for any signs that someone could want to hurt you.
I know you probably hear that all the time, but it's advice that you really need to listen to. I have met people online and then in person via forums geared towards interests I have, and I haven't gotten abducted or assaulted. It's really a matter of having your wits about you and using your common sense when you meet someone online.
I think your best option is to Google search "teen forums" or something along those lines. Forums aren't chat rooms, but they are usually more moderated, and overall I think they are better. Sorry if I didn't help much!

This is the "Real" World, Lacey- and there are Strange people of EVERY age- EVERYwhere... One just has to deal with it & Ignore them... -because unlike "Spam" they can't be "filtered out..." They're part of the Scenery...
