Because, I'm sorry to say, "they're just not that into you."
It's not just boys that lie, though. Girls lie, Men lie, Women lie - even Children lie (although for different reasons).
Get rid of the liar. Move on to someone who doesn't lie to you.

It's not a boy thing, it's a 'people' thing. For every girl that asks 'why,' there is a boy somewhere asking the same. You have to ask the person who is ignoring you and breaking promises, not us innocent and always truthful folks here on Y!A.
