The same reason they hated on the Bulls during the Jordan era. When your on top your the hunted, expect the criticism. I became a Tim Duncan fan when he played in the McDonalds All-American H.S. Game. When I got a tattoo and put specific numbers in the clouds of the tat, I chose 6- Dr. J, 23- MJ, 44- George Gervin, 33- combo (Bird/Pippen), and lastly 21. The guy says... whos that.. Tim Duncan, he's only a Demigod for now, but he will hit Basketball God Status. He has, as well as Tony Parker who when he came over I thought was impressive and he had experience but many slept on him. Ginobilli fell from the sky, he's a freak of nature nearly unstoppable mostly because he dosen't even know what the hell he's gonna do, but it works. Additionally, the Spurs are seen as intelligent good guys, no thugs, so no sexy stories to destroy someones character which is becoming more important than some sports themselves.

agree w/Musicâ«Ma. Their a good team but everything they do is so robotic, its like been their done that.
For ex: the suns run the same pick and role move just like any-other team, but they add that excitement, dunks, flashy passes, heart for the game type thing! The Spurs eehhhh..
The Spurs are not a small-marketing team nor or they big. Just in the middle. (I think) Face it, in today's world, plp like the Kobe and when he puts up the impressive numbers, but doesn't get further than the 1st Round playoffs.
Its just the way the world is. The news company's are not going to put some ok looking girl on t.v.Thier going to make sure she's blond and
blue-eyed. They want something that appealing, like a shiny toy to a baby's eye!

I love them. Not only are they a great bunch of ball players, they are a bunch of great guys also. The spurs have always been that way ever since I can remember except for two cases: 1. Dennis Rodman and 2. I think it was Ron Strickland (maybe it was another player) who had some kind of legal problem. They are an upstanding organization. GO SPURS. And by the way, I don't think they're boring, they just play team ball, not get out on the court and show off and play one or two man ball.

that's one the definitions of a dynasty. you either love them or you hate them. but you gotta respect them.
casual fans don't like their brand of basketball because its methodical. it lacks the razzle-dazzle of the other teams. which is idiotic since the spurs have parker and manu. parker is a one-man fastbreak and manu is a one-man wrecking crew. they don't like the spurs because its leader, duncan, is as laid back as they come. they hate the spurs because even though they know what the spurs can do, they can't find a way to stop it. people find the spurs boring because they don't have anyone who feeds the media with sensational stories. spurs just get the job done.
drive for 5!!!

Many people hate the Spurs because they win consistently and know how to score effectively. Just haterz.
Although I have respect for them, I don't like them because their gameplay seems so robotic and manufactured. It's just boring as hell to watch. Tim Duncan is all fundamental (nothing wrong with that) but no excitement.

People believe they had somethin to do with the betting scandal of Tim Donaghy. I mean they were the team that benefited the most last season.
