Not currently. AI is not there yet.
Keep in mind AI is a program that allows decisions to be made on varied input. Someday perhaps with enough memory power to map out all (or many) possible outcomes AI will be able to act like it thinks.

That depends on what you mean. Once the original hype of AI faded away, people spent more effort using computers for what they are already good for. The famous Minsky / Papert debates at MIT in the late 1960's covered this. I'd say the answer will gradually get closer to yes, but computers might never create, and computers will never feel pain, appreciate art, or love their mother.

Nobody has enough theory to be sure of the answer.

If a large and fast enough machine was programmed to precisely reproduce the actions of every molecule in the brain, then surely it would thereby reproduce the thoughts of that brain? How could it NOT reproduce them? Unless our thoughts have their basis in something different from just all those biochemical molecules interacting with each other . . .

So, not enough theory to decide yet.

Artificial intelligence in AI computer systems come very close to achieving a true form of machine reasoning. However, they still suffer serious limitations especially in the areas of understanding and responding appropriately to abstract concepts. To arrive at true human like intelligence in machines requires some form of multiplexing both visual/aural digital and analog information processing in a quantum fashion.

Quantum computers, I feel, hold the best hope of achieving something very similar to human like conscious thinking.

well anything's possible, but
they've been working on artifital intellegece, and i don't think they've aceived it yet.
i hope they don't... that'd be really creepy. the computers might decide they wanna take over the world or something!
