The Passion of the Christ: All religious talk aside I cried almost that entire movie. The betrayal, the pain and agony he went through, the torture and punishment - it was so upsetting and depressing.
*Honorable mentions*
- I Am Sam: A very sad movie about a mentally challanged father who has his daughter taken away by child services and his fight to prove he is a fit father.
- What's Eating Gilbert Grape: inspiring but also very sad story about a young man (Johnny Depp) who struggles with his every day life as a man with a morbidly obese mother, a mentally handicapped brother(Leonardo DiCaprio), and two sisters all living in the same house in a very small countryside town.
Girl, Interrupted: True story about a young girl (Winona Ryder) who is sent to a mental hospital where she encounters a group of girls and their sociopathic leader Lisa (Angelina Jolie) and her battle to escape the bogus system that keeps her a prisoner inside the hospital.

Among the list I'd have to say Dracula any of them are a little hard to reminisce but the most depressing movie I've ever seen is Tommy by The Who...!

It is a totally brilliant and deserving film of every Oscar it ever won. It also totally makes you lose faith in humanity. It's sadness and intensity kept it's images in my thoughts for well over a week afterwards. It's so depressing I'm not sure I could watch it again. Everyone who ever hated anyone should watch it at least once in their life though.

Jack Frost, with Kelly Preston and Michael Keaton. It's actually a very good movie, and some funny parts, but when I saw it, my cousin just lost her husband due to a motorcycle wreck. She was all alone, totally torn to pieces, trying to raise 2 little boys, with one son carrying some bad things stuck in his little head because he was with Daddy when he died. The movie brought back some feelings for me, and I sat and cried through parts of it.

Movie, I'm not sure. It will be interesting to see if the new movie ''The Time Traveler's Wife'' is as depressing at the end as the book.

"The World According to Garp" with Robin Williams and John Lithgow. I felt awful for weeks after I saw this movie and I will never watch it again. Nothing good happens ever!

I love a movie that can make me cry...but I can't think of one that depresses me. They all have kinda nice endings. Maybe Steel Magnolias cuz it's the last movie I watched with my mom before she died and it is such a good mother/daughter movie.
