Prison break is affected because actors are supporting the writers and going on strike too. This is going to be a disaster for us all!

Everything is messed up, hopefully the studios will finally pay the writers their 4 cents and we'll all get to see our shows again. Many shows have scripts written, but can't shoot because the actors won't cross the writers picket lines. The actors guild/union is fighting for the same things the writers union is, so they are backing each other up. Not all of the scripts are done ahead of time. Usually they are only a few weeks ahead of when the shows air.
Reality shows have writers, but the producers skirt the labor laws and call them editors, even though they are writers, so that they don't have to pay them as much. Those shows aren't affected. Seriously though, you shouldn't watch Tila Tequila, you'll give yourself brain damage :)

The strike did cause the show go to hiatus early. It was originally supposed to show new episodes until December and then take a break until April. They will show the remaining episodes in January. It will actually be a shorter hiatus this way. However, if the strike lasts longer than Jan. Those will be the last episodes for the season.
NY and Tila are not supposed to be affected because they don't have writers on reality shows.

Prison Break isn't the only Drama to be affected by the strike. Follow the link for a list of ALL the dramas affected. But you would probably like to know that the strike may end soon as The WGA has agreed to go back into negotiations with the AMPTP, networks and studios on November 26th! So keep your fingers crossed!
