I just bought a new HP a6200n desktop computer last week and I don't like Vista? Is it possible to switch to XP on it? Do I need drivers for XP or something? I looked on HP's website and they didn't have XP drivers listed for the a6200n. I don't want to mess up my new computer by doing it wrong, so can someone please help me? Thanx.

Call HP tech support - this should be no charge because your PC is still new. Ask them about the drivers for XP. Most tech will be able to help you because there are so many people that prefer XP and are switching back.

The other option is to return it if it is still new - especially if you want to exchange it for an XP machine. Whatever they say, don't argue with them, just tell them you don't like it and are sending it back.

Your computer was built for Vista , there are no supported driver for any of the hardware installed on your computer, so you cannot use XP , but below is a simple tweak to make vista run better , also vista needs 2gb of memory to run properly so you may need an upgrade , use this link and run the crucial scanner , it will tell you what you have and what you can upgrade to, memory will make alot of difference http://www.crucial.com/

You would need to buy a copy of Windows XP. But, before you buy it, you need to check the program's system requirements, to be sure it will work with your new computer's hardware.

Personally, I think that you should just get used to the new Vista operating system. It took awhile, but I adjusted.
