i think its because you have more things to do and it fills up your day. like cook, clean, go to work, pick up your kids.... etc.
and thats when the time passes by so fast because you have a lot more to do and you use all the time you have.

When you are a child the only thing you have to worry about is good grades and having fun.
When you become an adult you are responsible for getting and keeping a job in order to have the things you want and need. You are responsible for paying the rent, the phone bill, the grocery bill ,your car note , house note etc.....
If you are in a relationship with some one then you have to work at having a good relationship.
When you have children then you are responsible for the care of your child/children.
As the years go by you add on more responsibilities.

Time only seems like it's moving fast to those who are busy in their lives because whenever we're busy with school, work etc and when we've finished whatever project the day is nearly over.

I can't really explain the phenomena since I'm not Stephen Hawking or Albert Einstein but that's my theory.

I'm only 20 so I'm a young adult. Time doesn't fly really....it goes fairly slowly except around exams (I'm a college student)

"Youth Is Wasted On The Young" (I don't remember who quoted that but it's true, no offense.) My 20's went by kind of slowly, and then it picked up steam from there. My 30's were kind of boring and predictable and now I am 45 and I always think, "Where did all the time go?"

They will go by even faster, as you get older. Its basically more experience with time. When you think about it, they say to God, a day is like a second. Thats b/c he is eternal with time. sounds kinda corny, but thats why to a 70 year old or so, a year will breeze by.

because we are more aware of time passing when we start thinking more along the lines of an adult but when we are kids all we are thinking about is the small problems we have at school only to us they are big and we are not thinkin about time as children/ teens

Because school is so boring that time seems like it goes by slower.

It is the truth, all of that nonsense they teach us is boring as hell.
