I keep mine public. I don't know how to set it private and I wouldn't bother to do so if I knew anyway.

My profile, Q and A, and contacts are all open. I'm not ashamed of any question, answer, or contact. The only reason I can see to hide the Q and A is that it causes the person embarrassment for some reason. I am generally suspicious of anyone inviting me to be a contact if I can't access their info. If I can read a few Q and A's, I am more comfortable accepting the invite.

Public becuase if you have it to private and if there is someone who can answer the question and knows it but can get to it because it is private then you would be screwed

Most of the time - private, just because I don't feel quite comfortable when all Internet users have access to this information. In this way I feel free and may write only what I really think.

I keep them private, because I don't want people to go back and make assumptions about me, based on the answers I've given or the questions I've asked!! Dumb maybe....but honest....

Private. I made them that way when the trolls were a huge problem and I just never bothered to change it.

Mine is private. I have spent far too much time cultivating this account for a troll to go through it and get it suspended.

Private so no one can wander in and look for mistakes like Trolls do or enemies that are jealous.

I keep mine private, as with everything...People are more quick to judge you on what you've asked rather than what you're asking.
