Obsession is a dangerous thing. Sounds like your sister needs some cognitive therapy to see why she is obsessed with her husband. While loving him, is a wonderful trait, obsesssion is not. She needs friends and family in her life now. Try to give her a little space, some time and surely she will come back to you and her family for guidance and support.

Any obsession is abnormal. Your sister needs help from a competent psychiatrist because medical intervention may be necessary. This sounds like it could be beyond what talk therapy (psychologist) can accomplish. It's no wonder that her husband left her. He probably felt smothered and trapped. Get your sister to a competent psychiatrist as soon as possible.

No it's definetly not normal. She is just heartbroken right now and needs some space. Give her time but when she is ready to talk as her family you all need to be there for her. Do not pre-judge her and most importantly listen to what she has to say. That is the key to help her when she is going through a rought time.

Without knowing all the details it's hard to say. Sounds like your sister loved her husband very much and is very hurt by his leaving. She may push friends and family away for now, but just be there when she decides she needs you.

That is not normal.....It is called an obsession when it interferes with your daily life...and apparently it was an obsession being that she couldn't function....Did she try to seek therapy? If she refused or if it didn't work...I think her husband did the right thing by leaving...

So what did he do to get her so possessive of him,he had to do something. Flirting with other females in front of her or maybe he was cheating on her. Being a twin you would think you that you would want to help her.

That is not normal. . . maybe she has her reasons for being that way, did he cheat on her? Be there for her let her know that no man will ever put up with that type of behavior and tell her she has to change. . . for her own well being.
