I got a (supposed American businessman) that sent me poetry and decleared his undying love for me...went on for some months even though I told him I wasn't interested. The crunch came when he told me he had gone to Africa for business and got sick, he asked me to cash his travellers cheques. I just had to send him $100.00 I told him to bugger off and reported him to the FBI I don't know if anything happened. moral no such thing as a free lunch. think of everything that you aren't sure of as scam

got close today. eBay has a POWER SELLER program. I got an e-mail telling me I had been designated a SILVER power seller, and asking me to log on through the link in the e-mail. I ALMOST did. Then I opened a new browser window, logged in securely to the REAL eBay, and checked my mail there. This letter was NOT there, proving it was a SCAM. I immediately forwarded it to: SPOOF@eBAY.COM. They sent me a "Thank you" for letting them know about this. Hope everyone spreads the word about this one.
