I am the kind of person that looks for someone to rescue that I see myself in... so I can feel kind of like I'm helping myself. That was how my last relationship started....
Which means I guess that I need to be rescued.

12+ years as a medic..did a few rescues both on and off the 'job.' Funny though how when the shoe is on the other foot..the doors are suddenly closed,. the lights are turned off..and the rescuer is now the abandoned.
Oh well.
Sigh.

well, i don't really believe in rescuing someone from themselves or relying on a person to rescue you. i think the individual has to want to be rescued. i know sometimes i can give the "rescue me" speech. but, i just want him to understand me. yes, it helps when he encourages me to stop playing into my self destructive ways. but, i am the one that does stupid things. i have to decide to stop. it's that simple.

The only person that I rescue today is myself. It takes some work, but Im much happier for it.

I am waiting on my knight in shining armor to ride up on his white horse and rescue me from my cruel fate.
