i have been married to a chinese woman for 3 years, and she would like me to buy a house together with her brother in china i would pay 5 thousand and her brother would pay 5 thousand and then we would have a house half ownership, how legal is this, what do you think, do you think i could get stung eazy ?

Why on earth would you want to buy a HALF ownership house with your wife's brother in China ? Whata benefit will you derive, other than satisfying your wife's desire for HER brother to own half a home ?

You've been married for three short years. What would happen should your wife divorce you and decide to return to China ?

I own a home along with 120 acres in China. As long as you are on title there should be no problems. It would be wise to contact your attorney to make you feel more at ease though. What are a few hundred bucks to ease your mind on such a big purchase right? They are there to help. The real estate traditions in china are much like those of the US. You will only have to worry about who resides in the home. Will there be repairs? Is it a vacation home? Basic questions you would consider on any long distance property. Best of luck! Sounds fun.
