My daughter, Vienna Janae was born in March...and when I picked the name Ramsey, I knew nothing of the guy in the bible. I'm not religious. Didn't occur to me about JonBenet...I obviously didn't think about them nasty canned sausages...I guess I can always call her VaJayJ

I really like Ramsey but not Catherine. It is too many syllables together and does not flow well. It should be put with something short.
Vienna Janae is not like-able in my opinion and too out of the ordinary...a child would have a hard time forgiving you for that one.
Whatever you pick make sure the last name sounds good with it and the initials are nice.
Did you read the story yesterday on initials on Yahoo news?

No. How about Catherine Janae; Ramsey Janae; or Catherine Ramsey. I am sorry but tell dad that he does not want kids teasing his daughter by telling her that she was named after a type of sausage "Vienna." However, if it is pronounced a different way change the spelling.

To be honest, I do not like Ramsey for a little girl. Perhaps because I know a boy Ramsey, perhaps because it reminds me of the name Ramses, the Egyptian pharaoh, which is certainly not feminine. however the biggest reason that I think I dislike the name for is that it makes me the of JonBennet Ramsey. I would be sad for a little girl to be associated with her.
I do love Catherine, and I do like unisex names. Why not Casey Catherine or Payton Catherine or London Catherine?
Vienna Janae is cute too.
Good luck finding the perfect name, and I am sure you'll finding one that you and daddy love.
But please give up on Ramsey. It's a depressing name.

LOL, I love Ramsey... I'm not crazy about Catherine, but most of the time ppl don't know each other's middle names anyway. I think Ramsey is a really cute little girls name. Lord, PLEASE don't name the girl after canned sausage! She'll be teased mercilessly! Don't name the poor thing Vienna!! AUGH! Although I do like Janae alot... have you thought about Ramsey Janae? Cute! LOL! Best of luck!

Ramsey isn't a girl's name.
I don't even think it's a person's name.
It sounds like a horse or a dog. Maybe a goat.
It also sounds like a last name.
Wasn't Ramsey the name of some pretty awful historical characters?
It might be OK for a boy.
Maybe I've just been hanging around animals too long. I can't see "Ram" as anything but a male sheep.

Just to be dumb about it, Ramsey now reminds me of Chef Gordon Ramsey. Plus it doesn't sound very feminine. I don't really like Vienna either. Janae and Catherine are fine....I think you guys should think it over some more.
