It has also messed up a few of my programs that require internet access, is there any way to fix this?
My provider is sbc global, by the way.

casey_johnson92, your an idiot...

you should use: ipconfig /release
then: ipconfig /renew

if that doesn't work, restart you pc and modems etc...if the problem is still not fixed, go to network connections...click on the connection you use and click properties. click on internet protocal(TCP/IP) or internet protocal(TCP/IPv4) and click properties...change the thing to obtain ip automatically and the other thing to automatic also. restart you machine and It should work now.

Open CMDpromt and type in 'ipconfig /refresh'.

If you have cable - I would try to unplug your modem .... reset your router.... and have the computer obtain an IP automatically. This should reset your IP unless it is static.

Disconect the cabel running from your modem to your computer,let it go a few minutes then plug it back in,reboot if you have to.
