I've got a '69 Chevy Nova right now that has no radio. I get along on my 50 minute (one-way) commute just fine.

I do sing a lot when I drive that car. Otherwise I just think about stuff or cuss other drivers.

the question should be
could you survive your own singing 110 ten minutes a day?get yourself a portable stereo system until you can afford to put in a really good sound system.i would be interested in hearing about your nova.that's a prize .who cares about a radio when you're driving around in a classic!you made your point.

Yeah, I have a piece of shut car as well. I have to turn the radio all the way down or off to make sure the engine has not stopped on me at a red light or when I'm cruising on the highway! or think Im cruising...

Its 45min to work one way for me.

I've had several cars over the years that didn't have a radio. While it's not the most pleasant experience in the world, I survived just fine.

Yeah because I would just put a portable stereo in my car and listen to it. That way I can still be aware of whats going on around me, like if i get pulled over.

I drove a dump truck with a broken radio - and I was in the thing all day long, listening to nothing but wind and the truck rattling!

I would not own a car without a radio. I would bring a clock-radio and batteries if i had to. Having no tunes in my car would be a fate worse than death!

I can't but I am a courier and I am in my car all day, I don't really even listen to it, but the noise keeps me awake.
