that's rather sad. stupid coach at the same time. i read this story in this mornings Sun. it was on the cover. i went through TDSB for a year but nothing like this ever happened. the hell, this is not fair!! the coaches are supposed to teach you discipline not just on the ice but off the ice & what kind of discipline is that to tell the girls at the last minute they need a back-up goalie?? they are crushing some of the girls dreams. as LITY said Pity!! Pity on the coach & TDSB. i hope they do something about it. Go Girls!! :)

What motivates Mrs. Edney? Why announce you are looking for volunteers to something you obviously have no intention of getting off the ground?
Announcing her true intentions would have been so simple, all she had to do was STFU.

What a shame it is to marginalize such young people with the politics of the day.

To build up such high hopes when the school clearly never had any intent to field a squad is just plain cruel.

It's hard to believe that people funding Ms. Edney's retirement own the most valuable franchise in the NHL

Pity!
