I have vista, but I also have a good computer (3.5 GB RAM + 2.7 Ghz Core 2 Duo Processor + 500 GB Hard Drive + nVidia 7950 GT Graphics Card)
So despite vista being a RAM hog, and since August, nVidia have properly updated the graphics drivers, I believe that I am at a full advantage to anyone using xp.
I still have a laptop with xp sp2, and every time I use it, I fell like I've stepped down a notch, and I miss the cool gadgets and utilities on vista (Not to mention the enhanced security and protection).
At the moment, a lot of people say that it's difficult to discern the difference between vista and xp, but as directX 10 games (Crysis) are released, people are realizing that the optimal gaming experience is only available on vista.
The people who have vista and whinge that its a sucky os have computers which just aren't good enough to run vista at full capacity.
Vista is the upgraded xp, just like windows 98 was the upgraded windows 95. Therefore vista is obviously a more improved os than xp.
PS - If anyone else complains about the excessive security messages on Vista, they are officially retarded. With about three clicks through the control panel, you can turn the warnings off and still maintain a high level of security. Jeez...

Vista is fine if you have 2 Gigs or more RAM
But it will take awhile before all software starts supporting it with great stability.
Furthermore, games performance is slower on a Vista as compared to Windows XP.
For now I'll stick to Windows XP, probably giving it another year or so.

Mac OS X Leopard. Anybody who hasn't tried it is missing out. I was a windows guy all my life and when Vista came out I didn't like it, so I gave Apple a chance and now I can't even understand how I was living without it, it is so much better than any Windows version I ever used.

XP
I heard vista has bugs and glitches and stuff. Apparently the security is top notch but it doesn't give you a break. Ever.
