I am not a terrorist but I will give you my thoughts.
People become terrorists for many reasons. It could be that they feel that the government is doing something illegal, or unjustifiable and that this is the only way that they can bring attention to it. ( Oklahoma City Bombing) It could be that they live in a country and another country is dictating to them what they have to do.
All a terrorist is is a true believer in their cause. They will go to any extreme to further their cause or their beliefs. They do horrendous things like bombings to bring attention to their cause. They feel any attention is better than none in their plight. What they do not realize is by bringing negative attention by bombings, killings, etc their cause is actually weakened instead of being straightened.

I think its usually a revenge thing as well as a prejudice/ discriminatory(sp). Look at it like this- a traditional crime like a rape happens because the woman has something the man wants- in this case we don't REALLY have anything the terrorists want except maybe our money. They do it for the same reasons certain people discriminate against groups nowadays they hate their targets. In fact I see terrorism as one of the vilest forms of discrimination on the planet.
So I guess the terrorists and conservatives have more in common than we thought. (ZING) okay that was just uncalled for- but it felt good.

the motto of terrorists is "I want it all I want it now and I don't care how"
Most are actually educated people and just striking out at everybody in general.
It is one thing to set off an IED against a enemy convoy or vehicle or even troops. As an American I hate them as they are our enemies but at least the military is a viable and legal target.
The idiots that go into a crowd of non combatants and start killing are terrorists not freedom fighters.

They sometimes get brainwashed in to it. Or they are just sick people that get a thrill out of killing people. Maybe cut your head off. If you think a terrorist would take the time to answer this question then you are more stupid than I thought.

SOME believe that only through violence will they attain political freedom and spiritual purity—that only destructive force will eliminate unwanted rulers. Also, some governments use terror to maintain order and to keep subject peoples under control.
Yet if that is true --that terrorism is an effective tool of rulership and social reform, it should produce peace, prosperity, and stability. After a while, violence and fear should subside. Have we seen those results?

People we call terrorists don't think of themselves that way, so it's unlikely any will answer your question. They think of themselves as holy warriors or revolutionaries or Christ or as Luke Freakin' Skywalker, but those who think their cause is just don't think of themselves as terrorists.
Why do people become terrorists? They are passionate about some either political or religious cause (perhaps also mentally unbalanced), and have come to believe that violence or the threat of violence is the only way to draw attention to or to punish some injustice or unrighteousness.

saudi arabia is where most trained and were funded!!!
the saudi arabian king even stated "we were his little blueeyed puppets who sent our soldiers home in a metal box, with no ceramonies"!!!
