So into Name Brand purses clothes etc...My GF had to get a purse for her sister in-law and Gucci wasn't good enough for her she had to have the one that cost 3x that amount.
She said "if she didn't get her that brand name purse she would stomp her feet and throw a fit ...Mind you she is 28 yrs old.
Doesn't this sound as if she is one of those spoiled lilbitc*s and has no other care other than the Name of something ???

The point is ...if she didn't get this brand name purse on Xmas day she would be sooo rude and hand it back "saying that is not the Brand I want .
Is she NUTS???? People don't act that way! Be thankful for what one gives you .

I dont bother with expensive handbags that cost like $1200 for a tiny clutch purse. You can get those in Chinatown in the 2 digits lol.
I wouldnt want to waste that much money so that others can think im walking around with a knockoff especially since im only 21.
Shoes however are a different story. Gucci shoes...those are what I want simply because they look and feel amazing.

Because so many celebs and people today have taught girls and therefore women to equate their value with the cost of things. Buy big rings, buy name brand everything, get everything that costs more because you're "worth" it.
It's disgusting, but the only way it can be stopped is by teaching girls from a young age that taking care of themselves and valuing themselves is more important than selling their souls for something that is a tangible good and, ulimately, in the big scheme of life, worthless.

Gooosh i know what you mean i hate it when girls are like that its soo stupid it just a freaking purse. I honestly dont even carry a purse, And im not ugly or anything i just like my own since of style thats unique and diffrent... i think cloths like hollister and american eagle are cute and sometimes buy stuff from then but once i wear them, i go to school and theres 5 other chicks wearing the same dam* thing! i hate it they need to get a life and relize what really matters!

whats the point of buying a $200 Gucci bag when u can get an eco friendly and NON-leather tote and a small retailer for $10? why do girls have to have the best? i mean id rather go for the $10 tote and save an aligator and put the other $190 in my savings.

Some gals are into the Brand names because they cost more and therefore they tell the world that they spent money therefore buying themselves a place in the world to hob nob with the rich or more well to do in life. It also reeks of the self-proclaimed statement that "I'm totally worth it."

I soo agree! I shop at Walmart because I honestly think that the clothes there can be soo much cuter the the WAY expensive ones at Abercrombie and stuff. I do not and never will believe that the clothes make the woman, and just because it has a certain label on it doesn't make it that great, just that expensive. Cheap things aren't always "Cheap".

I would just tell your GF to get her sister-in-law what she (your GF) wants to get her sister-in-law. Her sister in law will just have to deal with what she gets. If she doesn't like it, she can take it back and pay more for that purse that she doesn't really need. That is kinda spoiled!

some of them are too concerned with what other people think about them. an expensive purse is the best way to show other people you have money when you may or may not, but its all about what everybody else sees.

Only if I had more money than needed would I even think to spend more than $40 on a bag. The one I did spend that much on got stolen...no cash for them stealin Bastar$ds though!
