I don't think other countries care. There are Queen rulers. But in America I don't believe Americans are ready yet. Despite the fact she would just be a figurehead. I guess we haven't come such a long way after all we still have some perceived notions

I'd say we are. I'd have no problem voting for a woman whatsoever.
But, for sure Hillary is not one of them.
She's obviously bad news.

Yes. Women have demonstrated their viability as strong leaders in many traditionally male dominated roles in our country. I think Americans realize that women are capable of excelling in this dynamic job of all jobs.

I think so. If we aren't then we have some serious issues we still need to work through...

We really need to get over the idea that we are the most progressed nation. India, the Philippines, Germany, Chili, Britain, etc... and others have ALL had female Prime Ministers or Presidents.

And the thing is that Hillary is so judged for all the wrong reasons.. I mean outright lies (btw, I plan on votingn for Kucinich because I am a far left liberal). I've heard all kinds of bologna about her...
- she is a socialist. This one is the most common lie. The woman is a hardcore capitalist that was on the board of Walmart for 6 years.
- she is calculating. What presidential candidate throughout history has not been?
- she planned to be president back when Bill was. Once again, what presidential candidate throughout history didn't plan for it or have the idea decades ahead?
- she is too cold. She has to be tough. She is a woman up against the entire rightwing good ole boys club.
- she is not honest. Yet no one can name one thing that she is not being honest about.

I could go on and on.

I think Hillary Clinton's run for office has clearly demonstrated that the people are ready for a woman President. I personally wouldn't vote for Clinton however.

Very much so! We currently have a strong candidate for the position, but I would hope she would not be politics as usual.
I think most people just want to see this happen in their lifetime. You know live the history. Wow if she picked Gore as a running mate they would all be one happy family again.

the world was ready for queens to rule for centuries.

the question IS: after witnessing a very public show of disgusting weakness by Mrs. Clinton, ( taking back a cheater), how in the world has she even gotten this far? she can't stand up for herself as a strong woman, due to her political ambitions and goals, it's absolutely disgraceful, she could never be a role modle for young girls.

the day i heard that she would be taking him back was the day i knew women still had a long way to go before we're treated as equals.

she really set us back. if she had done the right thing, and left his cheatin' a**, i would still maybe listen to her opinions, but not now, i don't speak with, or listen to girls who take back a cheater, its like a betrayal to all womankind. how could she? oh yeah, she's a political wh***.
