Are the unfortunates a necessity in our world? Are the successfuls only there because they beat the unfortunates? Is success something everybody can achieve?

Some people work their butt off, and some are lazy.
Some think long term, and some think only to the next beer or cigarette.
Some save their money, or even invest, and others spend like their is no tomorrow.
Some realize that the day will come that they will not be as strong or agile or capable as they are now, and some think they will live forever.
Some dare to take a risk, and others are too timid to cross the street.
Some do for themselves, and others wait for someone to take care of them.
Some grab opportunities when they come, and others wait for later.
Some see opportunities, and others only see problems.
Some overcome problems, and others cower from them.
Some earn their success - others blame their lack of success on bad luck.
