Every stage of our life has its challenges and trust me it is never a smooth road.Even as children there can be speed bumps and maybe even mountains. Most kids do seem to have a care free life.In my opinion it is the kids who are taught responsibility and accountability for their actions ,are able to be curious about the world about them, ask questions (why, why, why )and get answers, and most importantly to feel loved and secure in their home. These kids may think life sucks because they have chores, are expected to try their best,do well at school, get grounded, have parents who "won't let them do anything" may think that life sucks, can't find the perfect prom dress, want a C.D. but can't find it and must wait..Look at the children who have problems like terminal illness, disabilities or deformaties ,kids who are abused or bullied..I'm pretty sure they think life sucks. When we are kids we think that they will have more freedom but they usually forget with freedom also comes accountability.Adults must take care of themself which usually means a job,pay bills, pay taxes, etc. If they have a family then the responsibility extends to those they love and care for.The older we get sometimes the less respected we become in others eyes.We are viewed as disposable by some.Almost all advertising is geared to a youthful market.Try shopping for something that doesn't make me look like I want to be 25 again.Heck I'm just looking for a top that covers me.When we are young we feel we have all the time in the world and as we get older we realize just how finite our years really are.Old age is a gift not given to everyone was how one senior put it.I guess what I'm saying is every age and stage of our life can suck depending on our perspective.I always say life is like a rooler coaster.Strap yourself in and don't get off the ride until it comes to a complete stop.

It used to be that being a child was the best time in their lives, but anymore they have so much to worry about. When I was a kid, I never had to worry about some stranger pulling up to my school and pulling me into his car or a student going crazy and start shooting classmates. I don't know if these things happen where your at, but they do here in the U.S. I would say that the happiest time now a days is when their very small, and yes, it does suck to grow up because its a very big job for parents to help their kids be safe and feel safe. I could go on and on but I hate long answers, so I'll stop.

As stated in other answers all ages have advantages, whether you're 90 or whether you're 3 years old. I would say yes and no. It sucks because as you grow, you do gain possibilites but you get responsibilities and issues, problems and difficulty. When you're a child, you blissfully do whatever you want without having to worry about responsibility but at the same time do not have to care about the positives such as sex, driving, money as it's meaningless. But...Then again, sex, driving and money etc. may just be worth it... hehe

Both can suck. As a kid everyone takes care of you but they have complete control. As a grown up You take care of yourself and so you have more privileges like no curfew but others have reverse control like you may not have a curfew but if you stay out to long you may get up late and be late for work and then your boss is given control. I like being grown better though, no one is there to tell me "i'll be glad when you get a place of your own so you understand what is like to pay bills." I now pay bills and torment my kids with those statements.

For me it has. But then again-being a kid can suck sometimes too-no one really takes you seriously, but you can escape all that crap and it doesn't bother you that much. I'm 15 and I'm going to be 16 in less than a month (Dec. 10th) and I want anything but to be 16. Growing up for me sucks, I hate responsibility. And I certainly don't want to drive! Ah, it's tough.

Don't look at it like that. Any age has advantages and disadvantages, find them. Everyone has to go through it.
