Ethics Test

. By
giving an honest answer, you will discover where you stand morally.

The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which
you will have to make a decision. Remember that your answer needs to be
honest, yet spontaneous.

Please scroll down slowly and give due consideration to each line.

You are in Florida, Miami to be specific. There is chaos all around you
caused by a hurricane with severe flooding. This is a flood of biblical
proportions. You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper,
and you're caught in the middle of this epic disaster.

The situation is nearly hopeless. You're trying to shoot career-making
photos. There are houses and people swirling around you, some
disappearing under the water. Nature is unleashing all of its
destructive fury.
Suddenly you see a man floundering in the water. He is fighting for his
life, trying not to be taken down with the debris. You move closer . .
somehow the man looks familiar. You suddenly realize who it is. It's
George W. Bush!

At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take
him
under forever. You have two options--you can save the life of G.W.Bush
or you can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize winning photo, documenting
the death of one of the world's most powerful men.

So here's the question, and please give an honest answer :

Would you select high contrast color film, or would you go with the
classic simplicity of black and white?

I have no use for the man, and I love photography, but this is a hard question to answer. I have seen this very same question before, and I think that I remember that a real photographer actually did take pictures of a man who drowned in a coastal hurricane. There are more than two sides to this question. First it is between watching someone drown versus getting the picture of a life time. Second it is between saving this evil person, versus standing up for all those he has allowed to be killed, and protecting all those he may very well allow to be killed in the future. In the first example, the right thing to do is to forfeit the picture and save the drowning person....assuming that you are capable of doing so. The second example is not so clear cut. *sm*

As a Person "Viewing" The Prize Winning Photo(s) I would Definately Prefer a Matte Finish over a Glossy. If The One in Danger were to be your Average CONSTITUTIONAL Citizen of America, I Would Be The FIRST ONE in The Water.!! http://www.rys2sense.com/anti-neocons/viewtopic.php?t=1388

Help him. You are a fool if you think leaving him there and taking pictures would be beneficial. The prize winning photo's reward if any at all, couldn't compare to the notoriety etc. that you would recieve for saving someone so high profile. Also its the right thing to do, even if he is stupid.

Lets say there was no reward. I would still help him.

neither: I would save a human life. Although I surmise the question be a shot of the president. I didn't vote for him, but I wouldn't consider politics over a life.

Who cares. Have some one take a picture of you and the President after saving his life. Now that will be a Pulitzer prize winner for sure.

Wow, that's just cold.

You'd do neither and save his life of course, no amount of publicity is worth the death of anyone. Any other course of action is just heartless and beyond reason.

Screw the job you were assigned to do, if anyone is in need of assistance during a disaster it is only moral and ethical that you go and help your fellow man.

Cute!...........But not very original. And really not very funny. You have a good imagination, surely you could use it better than this!...........Oh, by the way, I'd definetely save him first....Maybe kick his A** later...............Good practice for the next one that comes into office....
