Jefferson, Franklin, and Paine were the greatest contributors to the philosophy of the Revolution.
What would they say? I believe they would see very little of contemporary America as free. We are shackled by ignorance and have traded one set of masters for a new set of masters.
There are areas of light where the USA still shines bright. But when I look around, I see a ruined people, poorly educated, addicted to petty pleasures, with no comprehension of their place in the world or in history.
The tools of freedom are in place, if only we wish to use them. I believe the Founders would push education. Education, education, education. And more education.

You make very good points guy who knows about sports. But you are neglecting many facts about Marijuana, burying them under a blanket of ignorant misdeeds. For example, weed isn't illegal because it is dangerous. It's illegal because leaders told people it causes hallucinations, gynecomastia, sterility, addiction, and a number of other outlandish claims in an successful attempt to outlaw the plants production. The reason it was demonized was to keep the paper industry wealthy. They were the most powerful company at the time and anyone who actually follows politics knows that the wealthiest corporations make the rules. But first they had to call it "Marijuana" because everyone know what "hemp" was and none would outlaw what they knew to be not only safe but extremely useful in every industry. Another ways it was kept illegal was by "testing to see if it was harmful". A test was performed to see if smoking the plant was dangerous. A weeks supply was used which was determined to be 10 joints. These were not used throughout the week as an actual user would, but instead combined and delivered via gas mask to a monkey in weekly sessions. This might have saved time but when the scientists conducting the experiment are roughly the same intelligence as the monkey they are testing it on, many mistakes are made and obviously poor practices are used. For example, when you burn an ounce of marijuana and force the smoke into someones lungs you suffocate them which kills brain cells. So, when the monkey is murdered and dissected after 6 months of treatment they discover many dead brain cells and determine that marijuana killed those cells, which was actually from suffocating on smoke. If you did this same experiment with 3 gallons of alcohol or a carton of cigarettes the subject would not survive 6 months of testing. I would be surprised if they survived 1 or 2 days of testing. Also, a man weighs around 150 pounds and a monkey only weighs 70 pounds so using the same exact amount instead of a ratio amount you create a flaw in your experiment that makes your results useless. Whether or not you consider that our forefathers used hemp is irrelevant. Plan and simple, this plant is harmless when compared to EVERYTHING else people use to get high. Also, it does not kill as many brain cells as alcohol and actually encourages their regrowth. When vaporized instead of combusted it provides unique anti-carcinogens, however combusted hemp has excessive carcinogens so I recommend vaporizing instead. When concentrated it can make a powerful salve that helps control eczema and psoriasis. Marijuana is the only 100% effective treatment for children under 5 who have seizures. And that's going from a dozen seizures a day to 0. So, yes... our forefathers did perform many heinous acts. However, these men are known for the most revolutionary and empowering revisions and improvements to our society. Keep in mind that it's also illegal to kill a whale in Nebraska, or kiss a man on the lips in public if he has a mustache. Not all laws are made out of reason or benevolence. Sometimes politicians are corrupt and make laws out of hatred and/or greed.

I think Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln would weep for this country and what it's become. Four hundred years ago we were a nation of patriots, willing to die for our freedoms.
Today we are a nation of amoral ingrates, willing to make little sacrifice for anyone other than ourselves.
I would like to believe that Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln would bring humility, modesty and humanity back to our great country. They would consider us to be a part of the world instead of the school yard bully we've become.

Lincoln was a Founding Father?
Anyhow, I expect the Founding Fathers would be troubled by how much power the president now has.

They would arrest Pelosi for Treason and some other criminals in our government. They would rid all the cowards in our government. They would rid all liars and crooked leaders in our government. They would be ashamed for the way that some Repubs & Demos have taken sides with the enemy and hopefully send them somewhere to argue. They will stand with Israel and not negotiate with Terrorists. They would probably want to do something about IRAN. And, Hilllary would not be running for President. She would be wearing a long dress and a bonnet.

They would initially be angry beyond belief. Then the anger would turn to sadness. They would wonder how all of their hard work, blood, sweat and tears could turn into the mess it is today. I especially think they would be devastated to see todays youth. No offense meant against them, we the adults have allowed it to happen.

They would probably be glad they are dead.... Then again, if there ever were politicians of that caliber, they would be the only ones capable of fixing the mess this government has created for the last 7 years.

I'm sure Jefferson would start a revolution and the others would volunteer to fight. They wouldn't believe it possible that the American people have allowed the government to remove portions of the Bill of Rights.
