I am 17, my mom and dad divorced when I was 2... mom was abusive and kicked me out when I was 15, so it felt like I didn't grow up with any parents.

You do realize that you can find divorce statistics on the net right? You will more than likely discover that the divorce rate has increased in the past couple of decades..

I am 40 and was raised by my mother. Parents separated when I was 3 and the divorce finalized when I was 5.

I am 59 years old and yes I had the same two parents all the way through...but, may I also add that they were unhappily stuck together...and that my Father was my Mothers' dictator...she had to stay with him because she had no skills to get out to get a job back then.
So, what good was it for me to see two unhappy miserable people together? They would have and so would I have been better off if they had divorced. TRULY...a very dysfunctional family.

i am 49.i grew up in a two parent house until i was 23.both of my parents were cheating on each other and have been happily married for 10 years with the same person they were cheating with.it was a competition thing between my parents to see who was going to get re married first (DAD did) then 5 months later my MOM did.unfortunately,i do not have a SAFE relationship with either parent,my dad's second wife wants all of his money and no contact with his 3 daughters and my mom's second husband moved my mom to florida away from her 3 daughters.the only people who have suffered in their lives are the three natural daughters who have no relationships with their natural parents because their new spouses wrote us all off.

46, and grew up in a typical family of that time, Dad worked, Mum stayed home and all the kids went to school regularly. Times have changed, and not always for the best either.
