scorch (below) Ross Perot! I agree 100%! Iwas hoping he would break the death grip that the two parties have on America. He even discussed the Airline Industry crisis that was looming behind the scenes.

The GOP has completely abdicated its role as the party of fiscal responsibility, starting with Reagan. It's been suggested that this is even a deliberate strategy on their part to get the US so deep in debt that we'd have to do away with social programs.

Bush's incredible fiscal irresponsibility will likely lead to a huge wave of inflation in the next decade. Of course the Republicans will blame this on the Democrats.

There is no more fiscally conservative (and responsible) president in the last 50 years than Bill Clinton. (I voted against him...I'm not biased in his favor.) After seeing the spending policy of the reps in the last 8 years I would take Bill Clinton over every candidate running aside from Ron Paul.

Well ive looked at every bill Clinton vetoed, and I didn't see not a single bill he vetoed because it had pork barrel spending in it.

In every case of spending bills, Clinton vetoed them, because they didn't spend enough.

In every single case.

Not once, in 8 years, did Clinton submit a balanced budget to Congress.

bwaaah haaah...is that what you believe??? lmfao. there was no gop pork. bill clinton vetoed welfare reform four separate times and then took credit for it. bill clinton vetoed social security tax cuts and then took credit for it. the wholesale raping of the american public had nothing to do with the conservatives. it was ALL clinton.

Wait...either answer would be a slam on the GOP. This is some sort of trick.

From the point of view of a fiscal conservative, both have been irresponsible.
