yes, everytime my mom would cook and itd get just a little smokey or hot in the house, the stupid thing would go off, so one day, after it going off every 2 minutes (seriously!) we just took the stupid batteries out of it...now its nice and peiceful

haha yea in my old house it went off EVERY time i cooked on did anything with the stove or oven it was so annoying

yeah, because the geniuses that remodeled my kitchen saw it fit to place the smoke detector directly above the stove
