One of the people I work on had to take leave to get some cancer removed from his nose. He returned today and there is a bandaid on his nose. He is the sweetest man, and does his job very well. I approached a woman at the counter, and she thanked me for getting to her before he could. Said he looked unsanitary. I wanted to smack her.

I hear you. That is totally rude, most of the time if you just ask people will tell you. Sometimes people are so rude that you have to be extremely abrupt and to the point with them. I would have done that.
But,you can do it in a sweet way sort of too that way you sound sweet but ITCHY at the same time.
Some people are lacking in the compassion dept. They lack it completly. MY best friend has very little comapssion for people, including me.
:(
Next time, say I have the right to refuse service. Then she will have to Humble herself in front of the next guy.

At least you and 99% of the population have a clue. Consider the source, and forget it. Hopefully the ignorant moron will not have to make a repeat performance at your office any time soon. I am sure I would not hold my tongue a second time. You do not need the hassle for someone that probably cannot be educated. I hope your co-workers surgery was successfull.

That is sad but, you have to realize--she didn't know
what was wrong with your friend. There are a lot of rude people out there, I know, I also work with the public.
I just try to overlook the snobs, because, I know, the good
people still outnumber the bad.

God Bless You.

Unfortunatly, it would me also. I would cringe, but would still put it out of my mind. The guy probably had to work and couldn't take time off to let it heal. I had a guy at K Mart sneezzing and driping all over the registar......ICK.......Not that is really bad.

How is a band-aid unsanitary? Crap, I would be glad he had it on, I would think seeing a surgery scar would be worse.
