I prefer Gang Of Pirates as that is their real nature and activity, organized, vicious, and unsocialized.
Their infantile use of Democrat instead of Democratic is more a reaction to most folks (Including myself) choking when referring to the unelected Dictator as an actual President.
This even though we have no problem referring to his daddy or St Ronald as President as, in spite of the fact they did horrid damage to the country as well, at least appear to have actually earned the title.
I only hope he keeps up the charade long enough to step down in Jan 2009, and not use the excuses he has been laying the ground work for to stay in power for life.
They don't mind being called a Republic Party because they do not believe in Democracy. They really want to be the Union Of Antisocialist Republics. Or perhaps just the "Reds".

ACTUALLY.... If you knew anything about the English language, you would know that Democratic is to Republic as Democrat is to Republican.
You see, "Democratic" and "Republic" are two methods of government while "Democrats" and "Republicans" are each groups of people that make up a party.
So, GENIUS....Please call it the Republic Party, because calling you the "Democrat Party" is no more derogatory than calling us the "Republican Party".
As far as semantics go, "Republic Party" would be the more correct form.

I never really thought about it, when President Bush first said, "Democrat Congress" instead of "Democratic Congress", but when they were talking about it afterwards and they said that he was trying to make them seem less significant and more partisan by saying that, it just struck me as kind of glib. I mean I'm not a fan of either party these days but still.
